The Homework Survival Kit contents may be placed in a shoebox, file box, or other kind of container and stored in a closet, under a child’s bed, in a special corner designated for homework, or any place where children can access it when they want or need to use it.
You may want to find a box that will be just the right size for your child to use at a desk. (Also, you can create one that your child could easily carry outside on a sunny day or on a vacation or family outing.)
Let your child help create and assemble the kit. He or she will feel ownership of the Homework Survival Kit and will also know what is inside the container to support his or her learning.
Make sure the content is checked on a regular basis so you can replenish items before you run out of anything at a critical time.
You may want one kit for the family or may decide to assemble a kit for each child. You can decide what is best for your family.
